"Nothing fancy - but fine for a short stay. Right in the middle of town."
One night - didn't expect to spend any time in the room other than sleeping. Room not much bigger than the king-size bed - but comfortable and clean. Early check-in was allowed.... Read more

This is an old building with character - friendly landlord and nice breakfast. Our request to check-in early (before noon) was granted.
Dislikes:
Not a problem for us - but would not recomend the top floor rooms to anyone not firm on thier feet, as this is an old building and the staircase is narrow and steep, and floors not necessarily level.

The pub is in a good central location. Full cooked breakfast provided. tea-making facilities and hairdryer provided.
Dislikes:
This is an old coaching inn, so access to parking area is narrow and parking area is small

Dislikes:
Very noisy from bar until gone 1.00am which then spilled out onto the street. Definately need to bring earlpugs if you are a light sleeper.

Quirky old coaching inn and good real ale. Newent is a pleasant little market town.
Dislikes:
Very narrow access to car park and lack of taxi services in Newent.

A cosy bar with open fire, resident cat called Mr Shambles and jolly good real ale. Clean room and linen. Convenient location.Food for first breakfast v good.
Dislikes:
The dining room was very large and cold for my first breakfast. On the second morning the dining room remained resolutely locked. Could find no-one and had to leave.
